“Crystal was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful when my husband and I came in and ordered lawn mix for delivery. Then I came back to get seed, fertilizer, and turf mulch. Thank you, Crystal, you're the best! And delivery was last minute — the driver was also terrific.”

“Crystal provided exceptional customer service. I deferred to her training and expertise regarding the type of beauty bark to get for my mother's yard. Because of her patience and expertise, and after looking at their product, I decided to go with the medium dark bark.”

Frequently asked questions

How much bark or rock do I need for my project?+

As a rule of thumb, 1 cubic yard of bark covers about 100 sq ft at 3 inches deep, and 1 cubic yard of rock covers about 80 sq ft at the same depth. Use our free online calculator for an exact estimate, or call us — our staff can help you figure it out over the phone.

Do you deliver, and how much does it cost?+

Yes! We deliver throughout Pierce County and Thurston County — from Spanaway and Lacey. Delivery fees depend on distance and the amount of material. Call us for a total delivered price with no surprises. Same-day delivery is often available.

What's the difference between fine bark, medium bark, and nugget bark?+

Fine bark has small, uniform shreds — perfect for flower beds and a clean, manicured look. Medium bark is our most popular all-around choice for general landscaping, weed suppression, and moisture retention. Nugget bark features large, chunky pieces that last the longest and look great on slopes and pathways.

What type of gravel is best for a driveway in the Pacific Northwest?+

We recommend 5/8" minus crushed rock as a top layer — it compacts tightly and drains well in our rainy climate. For a base, 1¼" minus provides excellent stability. Recycled crushed asphalt is another popular, cost-effective option that binds together over time for a semi-permanent surface.

Can I come see the products before I buy?+

Absolutely — and we encourage it! Walk through either yard to see and feel each product up close. Our photos show a quarter for scale, but nothing beats seeing a full bin of material in person. Staff is always available to help you compare options.

Do you sell by the bag or only in bulk?+

We sell both! Bulk material by the cubic yard is the most cost-effective for larger projects. We also carry bagged bark, potting soil, topsoil, perlite, and other popular items for smaller jobs or easy transport in your car.
